Canyon

At the end of 2024, Can‑Am decided to explore the three‑wheel adventure segment and surprised the market by presenting a new reverse‑trike called the Canyon.

2025 - Can-Am Canyon - Unbox the Outdoors

Technically, it is essentially a Spyder F3 that has been heavily modified for multi‑terrain use—tarmac, gravel, hard‑packed dirt, and some light off‑road riding. To achieve this, it received more suitable bodywork with a more adventurous look, mixed‑use tires, and a suspension setup with longer travel that raises the Canyon to 6.65in169.00mm of ground clearance. It is not, nor does it intend to be, a full off‑road vehicle. It positions itself between the Spyder and the adventure‑motorcycling segment.

From the Spyder, it inherits the renowned Rotax 1330 ACE engine with 115hp, the six‑speed SE6 semi‑automatic gearbox, and the belt final drive — but better protected. The tubular frame is reinforced at the suspension arms and subframe to support additional load, particularly the optional set of three aluminium cases.

It also inherits the Spyder’s rider‑assistance systems: Anti‑lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), Stability Control System (SCS), and the overarching Vehicle Stability System (VSS), which integrates all previous systems to keep the three wheels planted and on trajectory. It also receives electric power steering and Hill Hold Control.

Four riding modes are available (Normal, Sport, All‑Road, and Rally), which mainly adjust throttle response, traction control, and stability control.

It is offered in three versions (or packages): base, XT, and Redrock.

Equipment differences between versions:

XT version, adds a set of three aluminium cases (31.7gal(US)120.0l), heated grips for rider and passenger, passenger backrest, self‑levelling rear suspension, comfort footrests, comfort seat, and a front skid plate.

Redrock version, is the top‑of‑the‑line model, adding to the XT — the KYB Smart‑Shox semi‑active suspension (automatically adjusts compression and rebound), exclusive Moss Green Satin finish, a premium comfort seat, rear‑view camera and an additional customisable riding mode (adjustable stability control, power steering, engine response, and suspension)

Like the Spyder RT, it uses the practical LinQ (Locked in Quarter Turn) quick‑mount system for attaching and removing compatible boxes, cases, and accessories.
